my 12 year-old website

my 12 yr-old website would definitely be a website all about gymnastics. Gymnastics took up 99.9% of my time when i was in 6th grade ..(k-6th grade). i absolutely loved it! i was a competitive gymnast and got up to level 6.. i quit right before 7th grade because i wanted to do school sports, but gymnastics was my life in elementary school. I spent at least 12 hrs a week at the gym practicing for gymnastics meets. we would go to about 6 or 7 meets a year. My favorite event (out of four-vault,bars,beam,floor) was the beam, for sure. its scary, but so fun at the same time.

you might call me a scaredy-cat...

but im terrified of skunks. Skunks are the number one freakiest thing, EVER. just think about how creepy they are, they just sneak around looking for living things to spray with that nasty odor. I've never had a bad experience or anything with them, i just always used to see them around my grandparents house when i was little... luckily i haven't got sprayed (knock on wood!) ..but they are just soooo terrifying!..seriously tho...just look at that ugly picture of that ugly creature.

if i could meet anyone..

it'd be adam sandler. He is the reason all of the movies he is in are spectacular, off-the-wall, movies. (wedding singer, happy gilmore, big daddy, longest yard, mr. deeds, 50 first dates, etc.) Adam Sandler is the best actor known the planet earth, and our cinema-history would not be even close to the same if it weren't for adam sandler.

If i could meet him, i think i would die right then and there! I would contemplate reciting all of his lines in movies, but then he might think i was crazy and just walk away...but then again he might be really impressed and flattered and would like ask me to be his best friend or something... =]=]=]

I'm actually watching the wedding singer right now on ABC family, and happy gilmore is next...so it's basically an adam sandler movie marathon! woot woot!

this could be a movieee...

I would want to be at a championship basketball game between two rival schools up in the stands, when the boy i've been flirting (friends before crushes!) with looks up at me (while on the foul line with 2 seconds left in double overtime while they are down by one point) to look up in the stands and realize he needs to tell me how he feels before he takes his foul shots. He would run up in the stands, whisper in my ear how he really feels, then go back...sink the two foul shots, winning the championship game for his team. Right after the game everyone would storm the court and he would find me in the middle of the crowd and spin me around in a hugeee bear hug while asking me on a date after the game. We would spend some time with his first place team and then go back to his house for a comfy night, nothing like a fancy dinner (in fact i hate food from fancy places, i'd much rather just hit up subway or something on the way home) just cuddled up watching a movie or something..talking about everything we don't know about each other and ending the night with a little kiss on my front porch.

And the most annoying celebrity goes to...

PARIS HILTON.

paris hilton is simply put, THE MOST annoying celebrity ever to walk the face of this planet. i mean, just look at that picture...that bunion is gross, first of all, and paris is just plain old obnoxious. the worst part is she's not even famous for anything good. actress? no. good singer? no. shes not even that good looking, in my opinion. (all she ever does is go out and get completely trashed just so she can have embarassing pictures of her sloppy self all over the tabloids) Paris hilton...go take your bunions to some other planet!..YOU ARE ANNOYING!

summer '09

my summer will start off with graduation and probably a butt-load of graduation parties (=]=]=]!!!)
but i will also work at the st.anthony's learning center's summer camp for about 5 or 6 hours monday-friday for the majority of my summer..
Every summer my family (aunts uncles cousins grandparents included) rents a beautiful beach house, right on the beach, im talkin the ocean is my front yard (house pictures above) in Topsail Island, North Carolina for a few weeks. (started off at one week per year now itsup to 4 weeks!) so i will spend about 2 weeks towards the end of July down there, depending on how much time i can get off from work. But that beach house is the best thing ever, we have met so many friends down there and have made so many memories with family and these new friends.
OH and can't forget my BIRTHDAY =]=] ..my birthday's on july 11th ( its alyssa rosa's birthday too!).. i'll be 18... yeh it's a long time to wait to be 18. CANT WAIT!

after graduation season, my birthday, the beach, and work..i will probably head off to college somewhere, not sure where yet haha.

i think Obama will be a good man to lead our country for at least the next 4 years. i think he's a confident, strong leader who has a lot of guts to come into office at a period of time when we're going through such a rough patch. I hope his economic plans work and that whatever happens with the war (regarding when it is ended) will benefit lives.

my cell phone

i have the env2..like this picture.. but right now i am very upset with it... the front screen buttons aren't working... okay well every button but the "okay" button in the middle is working.. and one might say.. well that's not too bad, it's only one button! but no. This button unlocks the entire front screen. and then one might say, "well duh jenna, set you're phone so it doesn't lock and you won't have a problem"...but no. i tried this and then the phone calls random numbers and causes problems. not to mention the fact that to do pretty much anything on the phone you need to press 'okay' before you do it.
so now everyone's thinking.. duh jenna go get a new one. and yes, that would be smart.. i even have insurance on it and they will just give me a new one.. but it's just a pain.. to go all the way to a verizon store, wait in the service line, explain the problem to the worker and explain that i didn't do anything wrong to it, it just happened on its own, get sent off into the mall for 45 minutes, just to come back to hear them tell me they need more time to figure it out, just for them to give me a new one of the same phone that doesn't have any of my settings in it.

thanks for listening to me vent =] i'll suck it up and take my phone to verizon sooner or later, but for now - i'm content with the inside of my phone, so i'll live.

Thirteen Reasons Why

Thirteen Reasons Why...by Jay Asher is the best book of all time...well, of the books that i have read anyways...which i guess you could say isn't all that much. but it really is wicked good!
It's well written and one of those books that you stay up until the wee hours of the morning to finish reading it. it's filled with emotion, but not something that only a teenage [emotional] girl would like and it's seriously a really good book..everyone should think about giving it time to read.

in ten years...

in ten years i plan to be researching monkeys. I will get so hands-on and personal that i end up swinging from tree to tree with monkeys to study the daily lifestyle of a monkey.


just kidding, i've never thought about anything like that before, i don't even really like animals besides my kitten haha

but really, in ten years i see myself with a master's degree in elementary education. i will be 26 with, hopefully, a loving husband and maybe a kid or two with more coming in the future (?!)
I will be working in an elementary school ( i haven't decided where yet- maybe Endicott, maybe texas, maybe Italy) teaching 1st or 2nd grade.

I'm not gonna lie..i'm scared that the world is going to end on 12.12.12.
i don't really know all that much about it, but it scares me.

The whole war thing has also become much scarier as i have gotten older and more aware of everything. I understand why we're fighting the war, but i don't understand, better yet don't like that we have to send our loved ones off to fight. This has become even scarier to me as i hear a very good friend of mine talking about going into the army and everything... i dont know, it just seems more real and it's very scary.

although i have a lot of fears, i don't think we are in as bad of shape as the news makes it out to be.. i think that the bad stuff- crime, war, highschool dropouts- is just more interesting to write about and read about in the media...

technology post

first of all, i wanna talk about how funny the cingular roll-over minute commercials are.. i just watched the one with the garage sale and the "antique minutes" that the mom gets mad about the son trying to sell haha

but anyways, web 2.0...what a great thing... i wouldn't have been able to just tell you about the humor i get out of cingular commercials if it weren't for web 2.0

From the computer to my cell phone to this blogger, technology plays a huge role in my life. I think it is VERY silly that we cannot access our blogs in school, not only because it would be easier to do this assignment, but the school just blocks way too much stuff. If we are using this program as an assignment, it clearly cannot be so harmful that it has to be blocked at school.

I like hugs. hugs are simply the best thing since even BEFORE sliced bread and can solve almost any problem. think about it...you hug when you're happy, when you're sad, when you're saying hello to someone, when you're saying goodbye to someone.. they're amazing. I read on some snapple fact or in my agenda or something like that.. that the average person needs 8 hugs a day to feel like they're a part of something.. so get hugging!
